Yverdon-les-Bains is located at the geographical heart of French-speaking Switzerland, at the crossroads of the country’s main transportation routes. It is a town of art and history as well as a renowned spa centre, where well-being has become an art of living.
With its population of 25.000 inhabitants, its assets include a rich historical inheritance going back more than 6.000 years. As well as the high tech industrial area Y-Parc, Yverdon and its area play host to numerous high profile engineering schools and professional research centres.
Thermal Spa
This beautiful spa town can look back on 15 centuries of health-giving hospitality. The remains of Roman baths bear silent witness to its long history as an acclaimed centre of well-being. The new Spa & Hotel Centre of Yverdon-les-Bains proposes the whole range of treatments and pleasures linked to modern thermal spas.
Airfield
The Air Club of Yverdon proposes a fleet of aircrafts for rent, enabling engined flights, gliding, acrobatic flights and parachuting. Its airfield is among the most modern in the country, featuring a hard runway of 900m, which can easily accomodate small jets.
Golf
The region features two very attractive golf courses, as well as a dozen of other ones within less than one hour’s drive.
